Starbucks is turning one of its biggest seasonal rituals into something larger than a cup of coffee.

The coffee chain has teamed up with Peanuts for a limited-edition fall collection featuring Snoopy, Woodstock, Charlie Brown and the rest of the gang. The Starbucks Peanuts collection launches Sept. 15 at participating coffeehouses around the world, bringing together the annual return of Pumpkin Spice Latte with another fixture of American autumn: “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.”

The timing is deliberate. The animated television special first aired in October 1966 and celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. For Starbucks, that anniversary offers an opportunity to connect the nostalgia surrounding Peanuts with the enthusiasm that has grown around its own fall season.

It is also another sign that Starbucks increasingly sees merchandise as more than an accessory to its drinks business.

Snoopy takes center stage at Starbucks

The Peanuts Starbucks merchandise collection includes 10 collectible products spanning drinkware, accessories and a plush toy.

The standout is likely to be the Snoopy Glass Cold Cup, a transparent Snoopy-shaped cup featuring a pumpkin-colored hat, green scarf and Woodstock straw topper. Priced at $39.95 in the US, Starbucks has placed a limit of two cups per customer.

Other products include a stainless steel cold cup featuring Lucy and Snoopy, a Great Pumpkin tumbler, a 24-ounce cold cup decorated with Snoopy and seasonal artwork and a ceramic mug featuring the Peanuts gang. A Snoopy plush, mini tote, bag charm and enamel pin set complete the collection.

The collection is being released at participating Starbucks coffeehouses across the US, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific markets while supplies last.

For US Starbucks Rewards members, the collaboration extends online. Starbucks Shop is carrying additional clothing and accessories, including Snoopy sweatshirts, a scarf and tote. Members with Reserve status can also access a separate group of exclusive products.

Why the Great Pumpkin makes sense for Starbucks

The commercial logic behind the collaboration goes beyond putting familiar cartoon characters on coffee cups.

Starbucks has spent years transforming the arrival of fall into an event, with Pumpkin Spice Latte at its center. In August, the company launched a separate PSL Society merchandise collection featuring pumpkin-inspired drinkware, a water bottle and apparel.

Peanuts gives Starbucks another recognizable autumn tradition to build around.

Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin and Starbucks customers waiting for Pumpkin Spice Latte come from different corners of popular culture, but both depend on anticipation, familiarity and repetition. The partnership turns those shared qualities into collectible products.

It also fits a broader Starbucks merchandise strategy. The company said its Glass Bearista Cold Cup sold out in less than a day during the 2025 holiday season. It has since pursued collaborations and limited releases designed to sit at the intersection of coffee, popular culture and collectibles. Starbucks has cited partnerships with Peanuts, Hello Kitty, Miffy and Roller Rabbit as examples of designs capable of attracting customers across generations and international markets.

This is not the first Starbucks and Peanuts collaboration either. A global partnership launched in March 2025 introduced “Joe Kind Snoopy,” a Starbucks-exclusive version of the character, alongside Peanuts-themed beverages, food and merchandise.

The collaboration goes beyond the Starbucks Snoopy cup

Starbucks is also using beverages to bring the characters into its fall menu.

Beginning Sept. 15, customers in the US can find two limited-time Peanuts-inspired drinks through the “Trending Beverages” section of the Starbucks app.

The Charlie Brown Mocha Frappuccino combines pumpkin spice flavors with mocha, pumpkin spice cold foam and mocha drizzle. The Snoopy Cookie Frappuccino pairs vanilla bean and white mocha flavors with pumpkin spice cold foam and cookie crumbles.

Together, the drinks and merchandise demonstrate how far the Pumpkin Spice Latte era has evolved. What began as a seasonal beverage has become a platform for limited releases, collectibles and collaborations built around the idea of fall itself.
