The finish line can make, or break, your efficiency
The end of the line may be the most overlooked opportunity for automation.
Manufacturers across the United States have invested heavily in faster processing equipment, sophisticated production lines, quality systems, and advanced automation. Yet in many facilities, something changes when the product reaches the end of the production line: The automation stops. Cases are still erected manually. Products are packed by hand. Operators move boxes, build pallets, wrap loads, or manage multiple disconnected pieces of equipment.

This disconnect between highly automated production, and labor-intensive end-of-line operations represents one of the most overlooked opportunities in modern manufacturing, and often one of the fastest places to generate measurable operational returns.
More than 60 years of end-of-line experience is now closer to North American customers
Xolertic has more than 60 years of experience designing and manufacturing end-of-line packaging automation and turnkey solutions for customers around the world.
For many years, we have also supported North American manufacturers directly from Europe, delivering equipment and complete projects into the US market.
Our North American presence may be new, but our experience in the market is not. Xolertic equipment and complete end-of-line systems are already operating in US manufacturing facilities across multiple industries.
Today, we are taking an important step forward.
Established in 2025, Xolertic North America Inc. brings our experience closer to customers throughout the United States and Canada, combining the engineering and manufacturing capabilities of an established international organization with a dedicated US based team.
Our objective is simple: to provide closer collaboration during the development of each project and faster, more responsive support throughout the entire life of the equipment.
Is the end of your line keeping up with the rest of your factory?
For many manufacturers, end-of-line automation has historically received less attention than the production process itself. As production grows, additional operators are often added to accommodate higher volumes. Manual packing stations expand. Palletizing becomes increasingly labor-intensive. Individual machines are added over time to solve specific problems. Eventually, what appears to be a packaging issue becomes a broader operational constraint.
Labor availability continues to be one of the most significant challenges facing US manufacturers. At the same time, increasing production costs, SKU proliferation, shorter production runs, space limitations, and pressure to improve productivity are forcing companies to reconsider how products move from production to the warehouse.
The questions are becoming increasingly important:
- How many people are required after the product leaves your primary production equipment?
- Can the end of the line consistently keep pace with production?
- How much valuable floor space is being consumed by manual operations?
- What happens when labor is unavailable?
- How many different machines and manual processes does an operator have to coordinate to get a finished product onto a pallet?
- And perhaps most importantly: how much production capacity is being lost because the final part of the process has not been automated?
In many applications, end-of-line automation is no longer simply a labor-saving investment. It can become an important part of increasing throughput, improving consistency, reducing operational dependency on labor, and creating additional production capacity.
Intelligent Simplicity
At Xolertic, we do not believe the best automation solution is necessarily the most complicated one. We believe in Intelligent Simplicity: applying the right level of automation to solve the customer’s actual operational challenge. That starts by understanding the product, production rates, formats, available footprint, future growth plans, labor requirements, and how operators will actually use the system every day.
Our turnkey solutions can integrate product handling, case packing, case forming and closing, robotics, palletizing, conveying, wrapping, and other end-of-line processes into one coordinated system.
But our objective is not to automate simply for the sake of automation. It is to create equipment that is simple to operate, simple to maintain, and designed around the realities of the production floor.
Fast ROI by design
Automation must ultimately make business sense. That is why Xolertic designs systems with a strong focus on Fast ROI by Design. Rather than over-engineering a project, we look for the configuration that delivers the greatest operational impact while maintaining the flexibility and reliability required for long-term production.
For many manufacturers, labor optimization alone can create a compelling return. But the benefits frequently extend much further: greater throughput, increased uptime, more consistent production, improved ergonomics, reduced dependence on labor, and the ability to increase output without proportionally increasing headcount.

The result should not simply be a more automated factory. It should be a more productive one.
Technology is only part of the investment
One of the most important decisions when purchasing automation is not simply who builds the machine: It is who will support it after installation.
That is one of the primary reasons we established Xolertic North America: our customers should not have to choose between European engineering capabilities and responsive local support.
Our US-based organization provides customers with local field support, spare parts, preventive and corrective maintenance, technical training, remote diagnostics, and commissioning assistance. Xolertic solutions are backed by a three-year warranty, with first-year preventive maintenance included, together with dedicated commissioning and operator training.
Because the true value of automation is not measured on the day the equipment is installed. It is measured by how reliably it performs, shift after shift, year after year.
Meet Xolertic at PACK EXPO – October 18 – 21, 2026, Chicago, Illinois, USA If you are attending PACK EXPO, we invite you to visit Xolertic and talk with our team about your production line.
- You do not need to arrive with a defined automation project
- Bring us the bottleneck
- Bring us the process that still requires too many operators
- Bring us the SKU that is difficult to automate, the footprint that seems too small, or the production rate your current end-of-line operation struggles to support
- We will start from there
More than 60 years of end-of-line expertise. Intelligent Simplicity. Fast ROI by Design. And now, dedicated support in North America.
