Starbucks has introduced a refreshed dress code for employees across North America, reflecting a broader strategy to modernize its cafes and deliver a consistent customer experience. This update, effective May 12, is part of the company’s “Back to Starbucks” initiative, which is focused on streamlining operations and reinforcing brand identity.

The revised dress code emphasizes visual harmony across stores. Employees, referred to internally as “partners,” must now wear solid black shirts with short or long sleeves. Acceptable styles include crew neck, collared, or button-up shirts. These tops are to be paired with khaki, black, or blue denim pants. To support this transition, Starbucks will provide each employee with two branded T-shirts at no cost.

This change is intended to create a more cohesive look that aligns with the company’s evolving store environments. The goal is to offer a sense of familiarity to customers while maintaining a polished and professional appearance throughout the chain.
